I went down the rabbit hole of Student Loan Asset-Backed Securities. What’s the general sentiment around them? Curious to know if anyone has had any experience buying SLABs or private loan portfolios.

They are precisely the reason student loan debt will never be forgiven. Too valuable to have an asset you can securitize that has effectively 0 default risk. Just imagine the house of cards you could build on top of something like that...
