Are Chinese top Businuess Schools valued in EU/US?

Hi guys, I'm applying for Master Finance degree in a top University in Shanghai. Are the Graduate programs from Chinese top schools valued in EU/US? I'm a Foreigner here and I am finishing my undergraduate here. Didn't do GMAT yet

They are to extent that you don't need to explain that it is a top school, like any other. After all, if you need to say that your school is a top school, well...

And I say that based on my own resume, I have studied in a (really) "top university" in Latin America (before going to Europe where I studied at a school I don't need to explain anything anymore) but people outside it don't know it, in general. Will your school or program be valued in Europe/US as the local school and programs are? Absolutely not. Does it mean you don't stand a chance? Of course not. But anyway, if you are in a top Chinese university, the best (and perhaps only) recognition will come from China. I would say that even if your school was Beijing Univeristy or Tsinghua, which is not the case. And I am saying that for your own good, do not count on this (recognition) card, I have studied along plenty of Chinese in engineering and business school and all recruiters know is "ya this must be a good university in China...".

The School is Shanghai Advanced Istitute of Finance which is a part of Joao Tong University. Its rank number 1 in Asia and 27 in the world.

So your point is, that even if nobody knows about it in Europe, I still have a normal chance?

if you want to work in the EU/US, you can safely assume that your SAIF degree will be completely unrecognized by recruiters. I don't understand why you would want to do your masters in China if you want to work in the EU/US afterwards.

I got late with my GMAT, and no EU Universities accept you without the GMAT. So the think is that there is a change to get the full scholarship. If I won't get it, I will wait for the next year, pass gmat and apply for an EU uni

You would be playing as a someone from a non-target university, after all that is what Jiao Tong is in Europe. The thing is, in Europe this "target" thing is less of a thing than in the US. People that don't come from the top universities do have a (real) chance in the top banks, as long as they have good internships, good grades, fill good applications with good numerical tests results and these are then followed by good interviews. There are so many "goods" that you can get the point of how (not so) relevant your school is, after all. The highest issues in Europe are, by far: (1) Visa, (2) speaking the local language, (3) living already where you intend to work (this factor is even more important for smaller banks and boutiques - they will certainly prefer calling the guy from "ok" university but that is in London already for an interview than someone from a top school in France or Italy, for example).
