BB vs EB
Can someone please explain the main differences between BB and EB?
Also, can you give me some examples of investment banks that fall into each category? And are there any notable differences in work style (hours, jobs) or culture between BB and EB firms?
Bulge Bracket banks are the largest and most established players in the industry, with a global presence and a wide range of capabilities across different sectors and regions. These banks typically work on the largest and most complex transactions, and they have the resources and brand recognition to attract top-tier clients and talent. Some examples of Bulge Bracket banks include JPM, GS, MS, BofA, Citi, etc.
Elite boutiques are smaller (but not small), specialized firms that focus on a narrower range of services and clients. These firms often have a more entrepreneurial and innovative culture, and they may offer more tailored and personalized services to their clients. Elite boutiques also tend to have a higher concentration of top talent, as they often attract professionals who are looking for more specialized and challenging work. Some examples of elite boutiques include Evercore, Moelis & Company, Centerview Partners, and Greenhill & Co.
Thanks Simio!
How different are the hours and work in each type?
