Best BB for IBD in APAC (HK/SG) 2016?

What are the best banks in Asia right now for IBD? Is UBS done for due to the ongoing investigation? Is GS shit after cutting bankers left and right?

Regarding Singapore, it seems like CS is the biggest for IBD in the street, but would that make you take CS SG over GS/MS/JPM SG?

Have a few offers and interviews across the region so would appreciate any insight. Thanks!

Believe it or not, the same rankings apply across the world and regardless of what anyone says, these have been fairly stable. Put in buckets if you wish, the outcome is the same (Tier 1- GS/MS/JPM, etc.)

There are exceptions though - good example would be Rothschild in Europe vs Rothschild in US

Don't know enough about the Asia scene to respond to OP's question

OK, if you really want to go that deep into detail, there may be minor differences and we could probably create very granular rankings based on different locations, however, there is a perceived "universal" ranking.

I don't necessarily agree. JPM's presence is much, much weaker in Asia

Yeah maybe, their analysts still make the jump to Blackstone, Canada Pension Plan, Silver Lake, etc.
