College Major
I go to Virginia tech which I realize is a non target school for most finance jobs, however it is excellent in many STEM subjects. I am a finance and real estate double major but was considering switching to a brand new FinTech major that is basically a finance degree with much more math, statistics, and computer science. I was thinking a more STEM focused finance degree from a school that is relatively known for STEM fields would be better than finance and real estate even though its a double major. Any advice is appreciated.
Since you go to a relative non-target for most banks, I would advise you to have the hardest major you possibly can. Finance and RE aren't that difficult. If you can do STEM then you can do either of those two, but the opposite is not always true. I would do the FinTech major and take classes in finance and RE.
