FIG modeling - what are some good models to recommend

Hi guys, wonder if anyone has any recommendation on FIG model.

I got the BIWS one for banks, but it seems they actually modeled CFS (with a very weird way modeling it?). I had some experiences in FIG and I thought cash is modeled by % of customer deposit rather using CFS and CFS is basically not used at all in projection. Does anyone know what are some good resources and models for banks?

Also, for life insurers, I heard Europe / Asia look at it on Embedded value basis and Europe also looks at it on earnings basis as well. I guess finding models for these would be quite difficult but curious if anyone has any reading materials that explained the logic well. Checked some primers out there but the content on conversion from actuarial profit to accounting profit seems quite light.

I actually just completed the BIWS FIG modeling course. I thought the course was pretty good overall but I've been told that this book is a great resource also (The Valuation of Financial Companies: Tools and Techniques to Measure the Value of Banks, Insurance Companies and Other Financial Institutions (The Wiley Finance Series).

I recently completed the course as well. Do you know why the insurance modeling section isn't as fleshed out?

Thanks guys. Not sure if I am wrong though, just feel some parts of it is normal but the d&a and cfs etc. modeling feel orthodox af to me and i want to make sure i am not following something wrong..

As for insurance modeling, p&c i guess i am fine with it as i have some experiences. Life is a completely different animal though, ev eev tev and then you have people talking about p/e rather than appraisal value for valuation
