Gravitas Securities Closes Shop?

I have heard rumours of Gravitas Securities, a Canadian "investment bank," closing their doors and laying off key staff and long-time employees. For background, I have never heard good things about this firm. From being a boiler room operation with toxic management who are blow-hards and shady business dealings and operations, this firm has gotten a bad reputation, at least, from what I have observed. Can anyone confirm this or add any color?

PS. For the sake of the juniors' careers, I hope they can rebound quickly if this is true. But I do not feel bad for their executives and seniors, lol.

EDIT:

Lol good riddance to this pond scum firm. "CIRO Sanctions Gravitas Securities and Blayne Creed" is a very interesting article title. I cannot post links, but Google will explain it well.

It will be interesting to see how it goes if that's true. I'm unsure if the culture or model will change, considering he was one of their key leaders. What is the new firm called?

Funniest

Their name was “Gravitas Securities” what did you expect lol

No chance a firm with a name like that was legit or quality

This makes me very happy lmao. Interviewed for an internship with them a couple years back and the VP was just a complete dick. Even the analyst was warning me about Kia and the toxic culture there before my second round.
