Help me understand opportunities to progress from Boutique UK CorpFin advisories...
Hey all,
I'm looking to understand where you can go from boutique UK Corporate Finance firms/advisories.
For example, objectively smaller firms like RSM to give you an example, or just firms that really only deal with firms (local in location to them) that might require M&A services or other corpfin functions.
I typically see many find it easy to break in from UK non-target Unis into firms like RSM. But the question is where can they go to from here?
Could people describe their understanding (whether that be of a colleague's journey or their own) on this?
Is it possible to break into EB/BB - or even pivot over to PE (I guess these fields are all more likely if they were to do an MBA).
I assume going to EB/BB is best before PE switch anyway, but just throwing out ideas; would love to hear thoughts.
