I burned a bridge like an idiot

I used to work for a food prepping company, I was very good with my managers, they liked me personally and they were satisfied with the work I was doing. One of the managers there had a close friend who was working for BMO Capital markets, probably an MD. She said she was going to arrange a meeting between me and him, and ofc as a freshman finance student I was happy. Like, who gets to meet with an MD before midterms, right? But do you know what I've done? Me, the idiot of this story, woke up one day and I was mad at some people on the work so I quit and I didn't even give a notice. I had nothing against my managers, I loved them and I respected them but my decision probably made their work harder thus no more relationship, and no more meeting with an MD.

At least I'm self aware, I know I'm an idiot.

Bro chill. She probably has not even talked about you to him yet. Also, it’s a food prepping company, so who cares.

Yeah, I don't give a damn about the fricking food company company either. But I followed a bad strategy, instead of quitting without giving a notice. I should've talked with her, have her arrange a meeting between me and the MD and after that give my 2 weeks notice and leave my job on a good note.

Do the right thing now -- contact the woman you know there, apologize for your rash actions and admit you made a mistake. Explain why you quit impulsively (upset with other colleagues), but admit you made a mistake and you will learn from it. Even if she doesn't "forgive you" immediately, she will respect you for your apology and maybe even help you moving forward.

I opened my account yesterday so I can't PM you right now, it says that I need to wait 2 days before PMing other users. I will PM you when the restriction gets lifted, thank you.
