Important, Everybody Weigh In

Do you guys know when they collect transcripts for summer analyst?

I transfered from UC Berk. where I had a 3.5 to Brown. Thus far i've only had 1 semester at brown and i didn't do too well (2.6). I know i can get it up easily, i just had some personal issues to contend with last semester.

If i get a 4 next semester, that averages to a 3.3 which isnt all that bad.

Here is what i am thinking: I average the UC and Brown GPAs for when they come to recruit in september. I had 3 semesters at Berk and 1 at brown so it still averages to around 3.3, thus i put 3.3 on the resume. If a get hired for SA '07 i will have 2 more semesters at brown with good grades and i can submit my brown transcript. I'm just averaging to start so i can at least get a MM interview.

im not putting Berk on the res b/c the career office says not to if it is not listed anywhere else on the res.

I've noticed a lot of questions related to GPA recently...the simple answer is if you have ask an anonymous messageboard if what you are doing is ethical, chances are they aren't. And to no surprise, this is again the case.

Justifying a low GPA by predicting what your forward 2-semester GPA is going to average out to shouldn't be done. If you want to go ahead and lie about your GPA on your resume, that's your prerogotive, but don't try to justify it any other way.
