In need of advice

Hello everyone,

Like many of you, my final goal is to break into Investment Banking. Ideally, I would want to work in London / Paris.

I'm studying at a French target school, doing a double degree in Management / Finance. As part of my program, we take a gap year to do two long-term internships.

I'm currently a financial controlling / investment valuation intern for a CAC40 company. I've been fortunate enough to receive offers for two off-cycle 6-month internships in Paris, and I've a hard time deciding which one will bring me closer to my end-goal.

The first is a Financial Advisory position for a tier 1 French consulting firm (known in France, not really known globally). I'll be working mostly on Transaction Advisory / Financial Modelling / Restructuring missions.

The Second is an international corporate banking role for a BB, working closely with the IB team.

On the one hand, the Financial Advisory position will teach me more hands-on skills, and will definitely give me a lot more exposure, on the other hand, I'm afraid that I will lack name recognition / experience in a large bank.

What do you think?

Thanks for your help!
