Monkeys i need help!
Hi,
I have an oppurtinity to join a non-BB Metals & Mining Investment Banking group. I have been waiting for an oppurtunity to break into IB but I really do not want to be pidgeonholed into M&M. How easy would it be for me to move to another group like Healthcare/TMT/Technology at another bank after one year in M&M. Alteratively, I have a CB offer that is rotational across many industry groups that interest me and if I learn to model in a year + ask for modelling involement, would it be easier to sell this move to investment banking at another bank? Moving internally within this bank to IB is out of the question as I have a friend who tried and failed.
I would 100% take the IB offer because i feel like its easier to move around once in investment banking division as opposed to CB. I don't really know though
