PPE vs. Econ

I’m a first-year student at Davidson College and will have to decide on a major next year. I have narrowed it down to PPE or Econ. Which is more sought after in IB? I think I would be able to finish with a higher GPA in PPE if that helps but was mainly wondering if one had more of an edge over the other in the financial industry. Appreciate any insight.
