Reneging on grad scheme offer

Hi, I was recently offered a spot on an IB graduate scheme and I signed the contract to start later this year. I wasn’t certain on it when I signed as they do not offer the product I was looking for, but I was time-pressured into signing and I had no other offers at the time. Now I am semi regretting it and want to chase what I really want to do.
Am I an awful person if I reneg on the contract and go for something else? How would I approach doing this in a polite and respectful way?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

It’s fine I’ve done this before. They have reserve candidates that they pick up. Just ask to call and explain that this isn’t something you want to pursue.
