Semitarget Major Relevance?

Hi all,

I'm a high school student that's been accepted into a Canadian target (Queen's University) which places decently into NY/SF and quite well on Bay St. However, it seems like the vast majority of students landing these roles are in the b-school (Smith).

I'd be applying for these roles as a Health Science major (to keep my options open for postgrad in case finance doesn't work out). The program is very conducive to obtaining a near-perfect gpa (class averages seem to hover around 4.2xx/4.3), and I'm sure that will help during recruiting.

Will recruiters ding me slightly for not being part of the b-school? Will I get fewer callbacks? Any other obstacles I should be prepared to encounter given I am not a BBA/Econ/Math/CS major?

Would appreciate any insight. Thank you very much in advance.
