I was wondering other than TPH, CITI, and Jefferies what are the top banks in Houston. What are y’all’s top 10 rankings?

GS is King Kong right now having led two megadeals this year
GS on both mega deals recently announced so that is a good argument for them being a top bank
MS also having a good year with several chunky deals announced
RBC has also had a lot of success recently in private-to-public M&A
Very difficult to have a top 10 ranking for energy banks given how different a lot of the transactions are but generally lump them as follows.
- Have's: GS, MS, RBC, Citi
- Doing alright: EVR, Jefferies, WF, TPH, JPM
- Have not's: everyone else
What has WF done?
Putting Jefferies / EVR and WF in the same tier is embarrassing.
WF has never been top or anywhere near top*
*unless filtering deals between 300mm and 500mm in the DJ basin announced on Wednesdays

What about Guggenheim adding Trauber? I’d argue Citi is no longer relevant given their woke anti oil & gas crusade and ousting of their rainmaker.

He did. Laghari went to Guggenheim. He wasn’t a core piece of the Citi franchise

They do smaller deals. Their office is also very big.
