Wells Fargo IB Charlotte SA

hi all, recently received an offer for Wells Fargo IB, but in Charlotte. if summer analysts do get full-time return offers, are they stuck in charlotte? or is there good possibility of moving to NY office? thanks!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's important to note that Wells Fargo's placement process for their Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program can be quite rigid. Once you accept an offer with a designated location, such as Charlotte, it's generally expected that your full-time offer (if extended) would be in the same location. The process of switching offices, from Charlotte to NYC for example, has been described as challenging. There are few or no spots available in NYC for full-time roles following the summer analyst stint, and many interns in Charlotte attempt to switch, but success stories are rare.

Therefore, if your primary goal is to work in NYC, it's crucial to consider these factors seriously before accepting the offer for Charlotte. The likelihood of being able to move to the NYC office after starting in Charlotte is not high, based on the experiences shared by previous interns.
