Wells Fargo or RBC for REGAL NY
Considering both of these banks. Both REGAL teams are in NYC.
I have vibed with the WF team and they all seem super sharp and fun to be around. Even the MD was very interesting and straightforward, which I like.
RBC culture wasn't bad but the bankers definitely seemed more on the nerdier side.
With that said, which bank has a stronger REGAL team? I have read that both are great. WF does seem to be involved in more RE deals with BX and other large sponsors. I also know they are the largest CRE lender.
Not worried about exits... just looking to be a career banker, get great RE deal flow, great comp., and a great culture.
Only a college student, but it seems choice is clearly wells on this one. 1) culture is better 2) pay is equal 3) wells is growing and improving + RE is already one of if not their strongest group.
If you’re there for the long haul then wells makes way more sense in my mind
WF REGAL team is top notch. Top groups in the bank easily and a great group of people
Would you say one of the top regal groups on the street? Seems like they are very strong
I'm not knowledgeable enough of the regal scene to say across the street but certainly up there
wells no doubt about it. they have a placement process though are you in the group for sure? culture is awesome, comp is good and exits are amazing.
yea I have a good feeling I'll get the group if I rank it 1. Exits are amazing for REGAL specifically? because based on WSO, exits aren't generally amazing from WF
yeah from what I have seen the REPE exits are very strong. ask some people in the group to get more clarity on it. let me know if you fid out for sure
Wells, but are you guaranteed REGAL? If not, it’s not the end of the world since both banks are pretty similar
I was told that if I put it down as my #1, i would get the placement. I networked very well with the group.
Any other insight on the group?
Their process is super fucked, know a lot of people that got shafted in the last two intern classes - even when they networked. That being said if they already know you now, like you, and you can keep the connection warm you’ll 100% get it
