I'm admittedly a noob to traveling long flights but I was wondering how do you guys pack your suit in a carry-on if you have an event/interview/etc. at a firm the next day after your flight? I wouldn't mind wearing the suit during the flight but I wouldn't want to sweat too much in the suit if it gets hot (I'm 6' tall and 215 lbs, not exactly "fit" either).

That's what I was thinking. Luckily, I have one of those mini steamers if I need to quickly fix it the night before.

Well I have one of those bags that you get when you buy the suit at your macy's/brooks brothers/saks 5th ave/etc. retailer. I'm guessing it should work out fine and I do have a mini steamer in case it doesn't. Now I just need to find out the best way to fold my pants and jacket.
There is a way to effectively pack a suit into a carry on. It involves rolling it. Just search for it on YouTube and there should be several tutorials.

Best option is what Teller said, ask the flight attendant to hang it for you, otherwise check out the video on youtube (search 'how to fold a suit, Jacky Tam'), that's how I pack the other suits that needs to go in the suitcase.

These are all good. Personally, I will wear a suit on the plane and if I am doing multiple days somewhere I will pack another suite something like in these videos. Check into the hotel, unpack the suit and hang it up. Hit it with steam from the in room iron and you will be fine. You can also get travel suits if you are really freaked out.
I just bought a suit yesterday (did my research on WSO first, it's being tailored right now) and I have one of those mini steamer things just in case.
To add to this, rather than using the steamer, the best method is just to leave the shower running on hot with the door closed for a bit. Allows you to do something else while your suit dewrinkles.

Anyway, the easiest thing if it's for an interview or something and you can't afford to mess it up is to get a bag with a suiter like these other guys have said or just keep it in your Macys bag or whatever and ask the stewardess to hang it up. Alternatively, just wear the thing, take the jacket off and lay it across your lap while in flight, and keep a second shirt in your bag so you can steam/iron it at the hotel the night before and you'll be good. Really, unless you just throw it in a duffel and bang it around a bit it's really not going to get that wrinkled.
In consulting and banking people I've worked with usually just wore the suit jacket and then packed the pants, option two is get a carryon garment bag.
If it's just for a quick trip, get a hanger with a bag specifically for the suit and ask for the flight attendant to hang it in the coat compartment. These bags can be folded.
For longer trips, I fold my suits. There's a specific way of doing it. You can look it up. Plenty of people advocate rolling, but it just doesn't convince me.

Another technique I like, and know works for sure, is that if you turn your blazer inside out and fold it, it will not wrinkle and stay intact. You can then just fold your pants regularly and iron them once you get to the hotel if they get wrinkled.
