When is the signing bonus paid exactly?

I have a bit of a retarded question here. I would like some insight

Currently I'm contemplating whether I should go ahead and accept my master's offer at a top university the UK (one of LSE, LBS, Oxibridge). I'll have to take a big amount of debt over the debt that I already have, at a significantly high cost. I've been told it's worth it, because the school will get me where I want to be. I have one internship at a big4 company, one internship in fixed income, and the last one was M&A at a boutique, with no bonuses. I passed CFA level 2 aswell.

I'm just too fucking stressed out about this inordinate debt. When does the bank/firm pay the signing bonus? When the intern/analyst starts working or when they accept the offer? (Also how much is it in London?)

Thanks in advance.
