BS vs BA Econ

For those of you who review resumes during application processes, does it matter, whether explicitly or subconsciously when you see someone with a BA vs BS? Thinking of switching to an Econ BA from BS but I’m worried that people will perceive it as an easier major. Will this switch negatively impact things such as buyside recruiting or whatever path I choose to take for my second job after IB?

Basically — is it worth getting a BA to stat pad my GPA or should I stick through with a BS
