Can I graduate in August instead of May and start my job full time

I'm currently a junior and have always wanted to study abroad. I was going to go this semester but there were some exciting opportunities on campus that I had this semester(great research, involved in cool non-finance clubs for the first time,a good social group, and a remote internship).

I also chose not to study abroad senior fall due to potential full time recruiting. However, I have wanted to do study abroad since I was in middle school. The only problem is that I spoke to my advisor and she told me that I would have to graduate in August instead of May if I do that. I personally don't care that much but I was wondering whether I'll run into issues with companies especially if I'm starting my full time job in say July(not sure when it starts). Any advice/inputs would be really helpful.

Thanks!

I’m not sure where you attend but most of the time, you’ll walk with your class (graduation ceremony) in May and complete your summer classes to receive your degree in August. I’m still a student so idk when full-time employment begins but I’ll assume it’s in September.

I go to Emory. Yeah I'll get to walk with my class in May but will receive the degree in August. I was wondering whether companies will have a problem with that. I have seen some banks start in July/august so I was just wondering if they'll have any major problems with that

I'm just curious how it is in general because there is a shot that I won't end up there FT. Also since I'm still just a junior, I don't want to make it seem like I'm overly confident about the return offer

Most banks start in July if not June. Training is for a few weeks to a month. I would just ask HR, but pretty sure they will say no as this is completely a personal choice and not an emergency.
