pure research is going to be company/industry focused. you'd probably be best off checking out threads in the equity research forum.
i do know, though, that credit research doesn't do much modeling (if any). your chief concern is going to be cash generation, leverage, and liquidity. i would know your key ratios cold, and you probably also want to look at current deals in the market to gauge what kind of terms investors are demanding (interest rates, call protection, floors, OID, etc).
you'll probably also be asked what types of company's/industries you're interested in - know 1 or 2 really well and what are the key drivers.

I had one of these for JPM back when I recruited. Is it for research or strategy? If you make it to superday, they usually interview you for both.
pretty sure it's strictly research. what types of questions did you get, especially on the technical side?
