Current sophomore seeking advice

I'm a sophomore at a West Coast semi-target currently trying to recruit for junior SA internships. I transferred to this school last semester, and my gpa is pretty good (3.85+). Apart from that, I don't have much going for me. I have no internships so far and I don't even have my technicals down.

How realistic is it for me to land something considering my situation? I don't want to sound all doom and gloom, but I don't see how I would be able to land a junior summer internship without any prior experience. Should I even bother recruiting this semester or should I try to delay my graduation by a semester and reclassify as a freshman? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

West Coast semi target, assuming USC. You should still be okay. You just really need to make an effort in networking. If you don’t have work experience join clubs relating to finance and investing and that can go a long ways. If you REALLY want to IB, and you don’t get an offer this time around. You can think about adding a masters and that’ll get you an extra year of recruitment. It’s costly and I don’t recommend it in most cases
