Deutsche Bank IB vs. boutique TMT investment bank, which to choose

Hi, I just got an SA offer from Deutsche Bank IB London, and already signed an SA offer from a boutique TMT investment bank (think of Arma Partners, Torch, Bryan Garnier, etc.). Can someone kindly give me some ideas on which offer to choose?
(I target exiting into a large PE, and am very interested in the TMT space. I do care about the return rate but it’s not the top priority bc I’ll def try GS/MS SA next year.)

Thanks in advance!

Minimal likelihood of that. It isn't worth anyone's time (even if they really were motivated to which I can't imagine they would be) to try to in some way "punish" you. It just creates more bad blood and reputational damage risk on the bank's part to do anything like that.

I mean never say never. If you've spoken to the team and said you'll join and just happen to have come across a spiteful and vindicative MD or VP, maybe they'll do something, but jeez I really don't think that's likely.

Thanks for the comments! If you can also give some reasons it’d be great. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Also a bit worried about reneging the previously signed offer with the boutique, I wonder if this will have a negative impact on personal reputation in the industry.

DB hands down. Easier to jump from a low BB to a top BB than from a boutique because the types and size of deals you are working on will be very similar. Moreover, the TMT group of DB is not bad. They used to focus on the Telecom and Media verticals but are now becoming more relevant in Tech from the hires they made like the head of tech EMEA from CS. The top US BB still dominates this sector but you can have a decent experience at DB
