Dual-Citizenship
I was born and raised in the U.S. but also have citizenship in the UK. Does this provide any sort of advantage in full-time recruiting in the UK? Or is it simply something that would lighten the amount of paperwork someone would have to do to hire me?
Yes it is an advantage, no sponsorship needed. Try to leverage your background and build up contacts in the UK first. I'm in a similar position, and networking has proved to be incredibly helpful.
Best of luck
People needing work visas were some of the first to be let go when it came to reneging during the crisis. Having UK citizenship would definitely help in this environment, but it's really a lack of a negative rather than an actual plus.
Posting just to track this because I have a similar situation (different european country). I talked to a couple of finance recruiters who said it will be a huge help if I want to work in Europe. I think GB is right though, it just gives you an advantage over other Americans who would need a visa.
Warsteiner,
Same situation and heard similar from recruiters. Trying to figure out how to leverage as well.
