Finance Entry Level_Singapore job market

Hi,

I was wondering if any foreigner here has tried navigating through the Singaporean job market. Graduated from Baruch and had done a couple of solid internships (banks and PE) and decided to move to Singapore. 3 months into this job hunting process and not even a single interview. I know that it is competitive but I had surprisingly more luck with call backs during the NY job hunt. (I heard of GPA being really important but thought that the internships I've done will compensate for the lack of high GPA). I've only been applying through the company's website and a couple of recruiters. Is there another approach that will work better?
