Financial Analyst to IB?
I graduated in May 2023 from a large non-target, and my introduction to IB and high finance came during the summer before my senior year (Late Ik). My pre-graduation experience included one internship in WM. Following graduation, I secured a full-time financial analyst position in the Midwest at a MM bank that engages in investment banking, although not in my current office. I view this role as a stepping stone to my goal of breaking into IB.
I'm eager to chart the best path toward my IB aspirations. Should I consider transitioning into TAS first? Is networking vigorously to land a position in a LMM firm a viable option? Should I contemplate waiting and pursuing an MBA?
I'm open to relocating anywhere in the US and would greatly appreciate any advice.
