Full-Time Recruiting?

Currently a SA from a semi-target at a MM (think Piper) in NYC. My reviews so far have been only positive, so for the sake of argument, assume a return offer will be received. I like the team, so I would only accept a clear upgrade. Lastly, I'm looking to mainly target BBs.

  • What will full-time recruiting look like this year? Have any interviews started/when would interviews start? How location dependent is this (I'm willing to relocate)?
  • How important is networking? More or less important than for SA recruiting?
  • Is it possible certain BB groups will have an opening, or is there internal shuffling so that the groups are only filled by current interns?
  • Will recruiting look different between BBs and EBs?
  • What are the differences between FT versus SA recruiting?
  • Is it worth the work?
  • Are there any banks that are better to target that have historically had more openings for FT?

Thanks for the help.

FT has harder technicals, less spots & is way less organized. Tap into your existing network and catch up with them. Nobody knows how many spots are open for FT until they get final count on how many offers given/not given and how many interns are signing their return offers etc. Gl
