Getting into BB as non-target?

Hi everyone, quant finance major at non-target in Hong Kong, 3.7 CGPA, 2 hedge fund internships (quant and investment teams). In your experience, what are the routes non-target school people can take to get into BB S&T? Like Masters degree at target school or work at smaller shop and then get MBA/MFE? Last year got to the final rounds of major firms (BB, famous AM and famous PE) but did not land an offer so I deferred graduation. Have relevant internship experience but worried about my school name affecting my chances. I saw only 1 person from out school getting into BB S&T. Also my stupid ass did not network properly. Thank you

If you got into the final rounds, I would say being from a non-target is not a factor anymore.

Your CV is good enough for you not to get outright rejected, you just have to work on becoming a better interviewer at this point.

I wrote “no specific prep”, prep’ed technicals for the division, my story, and general question that I found through Glassdoor or from people who got the offer there. Will be thankful for specific suggestions regarding the prep that I missed.

There’s a pretty famous guide online with hundreds of questions, both basic and advanced.

I think it’s more than enough to land an internship at the Analyst level.
