Graduating early to pursue a one year masters in accounting at Cornell so I can finally break into IB. What should I do?

I am currently a Junior at Purdue University majoring in Data Science. I am also an international student. I tried recruiting for IB in my sophomore year, really gave it my all, and thought I left no stone unturned but Purdue being a non-target school and me being an international, I was not able to land an investment banking internship. I still really want to do Investment Banking so I applied for a one-year master's program at Cornell University and got in. I wanted some advice on what to do in the summer before I start Cornell in August. I will be going back home to India, so does it make sense to do an investment banking internship back home? I also want to know if I should start networking with Cornell Alumni at these investment banks before actually starting the program in August. Any advice would be highly appreciated. I am a little lost and would love to hear your thoughts.
