GS Finance vs Equities/FICC S&T

Another dilemma. I swear GS is slightly giving me a headache. But they are allowed to I suppose (even though there is a limit). SO I had a post earlier about GS HR specifically for S&T. Couple of days after that, I was asked to also inteview for their Finance division b/c they are also interested in me. I interviewed with finance and that same day I was told that I am going straight to final round--I am told it is down to me and some other person who has been interviewing for 3mnths.

This is my problem: I want S&T b/c that is what I am doing right now but at another BB. I am running out of patience for GS S&T even though I have yet another interview with them ( I am not complaining). I don't really know much about the Finance group other than its another Front Office division. So if I am given the Finance group job, should I just go ahead and take it and maybe once I get in move into S&T? Or should I kindly shoot myself in the foot with the S&T process?

what division within S&T are you looking at?

if you want to stay w/ S&T. I'd be wary of making the jump to finance. You should interview anyway and just see what they're about, but let the recruiter know that you'd still like to be considered for s&t
