How hard is it to get internships and a job in IB or consulting coming from Umich LSA

I am currently a freshman in Umich LSA and I am on the fence on whether or not I can make it into ross. How hard is it to get an internship at either investment banks or management consulting firms in LSA as opposed to Ross. I have looked around forms but all the posts are from over 10 years ago and do not seem to be accurate anymore. What should I do to increase my chances at getting an internship and a job?

 

Probably easier to get into consulting than IB. Just join the clubs you would have joined if you were in Ross. If theres any finance based clubs that interest you or consulting clubs. Surround yourself with the people you see working in the field you would like to and they will be a huge help
