How to Ask a Client for Job
I work in an investment allocation firm (think pension, endowment). We regularly invest with a small, very niche fund and partner with them on some co-invests.
My background is in the same niche they're focused on and the work they do is really interesting to me. So, without making it awkward or having it get back to my boss, how do I ask for a job?
They're so small they don't post publicly for job openings, they either work with a recruiter or hire through word of mouth.
