Tbh its not looking good. As you probably already know, the FT hiring process is going to be extremely difficult due to the current market (not to mention competing with all the kids from CS without returns). The anecdotal cases of ppl getting BB/EB FT offers from non-targets/no IB experience presumably happened during the hiring boom a while back when many subpar candidates were scooped up to fill numerous spots. Best advice is to take M&A offer at the F500 then try to lateral when the market picks up.
