Internal mobility after being a boomerang employee?

Assuming you are a boomerang employee (worked at the firm for a few years, left and then returned). What do you think the feasibility is of being able to pull off an internal move at a BB / EB afterwards? Say for example I wanted to return to my old bank, but ultimately have an ambition to join a different coverage / product team. Do you think the goodwill is lost, and that it would be received poorly?
