Investment banking interview questions for sophomore intern boutique bank
Hey all,
I have in interview for a regional boutique bank, I'd say I'm a pretty average maybe slightly above average candidate. I'm studying computer science. From what I've seen from the past years interns I don't see anything amazing (mostly from local area, no one from target schools)
I was wondering many interview guides use the same sample questions for sophomore, junior, and first year analysts.
So I had two questions - Would they go slightly easier on the technical side given my lack of finance/accounting courses? (I self studied mostly so I'm a bit intimidated). And secondly, given this is a sophomore internship would they be easier on technical in this way? AKA stick to the more common questions?
additional info: the interview is through zoom and will take place over 60 minutes. I spoke to one of the analysts there and I asked him if I would need to walk through a DCF and he said "not even that". Not industry specific.
