Is it hard for an International Student in AUS to get an IB internship?

I am an international student studying at a target (Bcomm with Accounting and Finance major) in Aus, and I was wondering whats the chances for an international student to land a Winter IB internship (end June-July) at a bulge/top boutique/mid-market boutique in Sydney.

Some background of myself:
- From a country whose first language is English
- Starting my penultimate year and have just completed my first year with a distinction average WAM of 80+
- Have completed 3 internships with 6 months of CF/IB experience: 2 Corporate Finance internships at Big 4s and 1 Investment Banking internship at a leading Asia bank
- Moderate EC's -> Done 3 case comps, 1 of which is equity-valuation related

Off-cycle internship in Australia? Jesus, I thought their SA class-size is already small, they even care to recruit in winter?

Why not going back to your country or find some other places in APAC to do IB?

Well apparently a few bulge/boutiques in Aus do have a 4-week internship program catered for Aus unis, though from what it seems they have always hired domestic students for these programs (could be work visa issues I reckon).

I am applying to my home country as well. However, banks in my home country follow the northern hemisphere, so I do not have much luxury of choice for internship programs. The summer internships in my home country fall in the winter break for Aus unis, and very few banks in my home country have winter internship programs. However, if I don't land any bulge winter internships (northern hemisphere) in my home country I will apply for a leave of absence in my final year and apply for the summer internships in my home country, which will probably be my best bet at scoring a BBIB internship and full time offer.

Seems like the conflicting timeline is diminishing your chance to land IB gig despite your credentials. Take one gap year sounds reasonable though.
