Liberal arts >> BB??
Is it possible to graduate from a small, non target liberal arts school and end up at a BB? I realize it probably won’t happen out of college, but maybe working for a boutique, gaining some credibility, then moving to a BB?
Anyone have experience with this?
Its definitely possible but youll want to start early, no later than the beginning of soph year (ideally freshman yr at a nontarg)
You'll want to go all out, grinding your way up the ladder of internships (Start with low hanging fruit: searchfunds, private wealth, etc and grind up to having a boutique IB on ur resume (Incoming IB Intern 20XX) when BB recruiting comes.
Along with work xp, networking is key. Youll want to form genuine relationships with the people at firms you're pursuing.If youre diversity, take advantage of every program available.
Generally would not recommend being a hardo, but might be necessary at a nontarget. Still have fun with your life tho.
