List of numerical and verbal tests (BB Recruiting)

Hey

I'm planning to apply for offcycle internships at the BBs (London and continental Europe) and I was wondering what tests to expect at the different banks.

I will update the opening post regularly so that all the info is easy to find for everyone.

Updated

GS [no online test, maybe a written one]
MS [Kenexa (PSL) numerical test]
JPM [SHL numerical]
CS ...
DB [Kenexa (PSL) numerical and verbal]
UBS [SHL numerical and logical test]
Citi [Elements numerical]
BAML ???
BarCap [SHL numerical and verbal test]

Thanks everyone!

Just did the Barclays, MS and UBS tests:

UBS was much harder than the others, although the test is provided by SHL. The numerical was quite ok, but the logical test just sucked. I would bet that I didn't pass.

Barclays numerical is pretty easy and I would say that it is on the same level as the free practice tests you get in the internet (efinancialcareers.co.uk, http://www.numericaltesthelp.com/, etc.). The verbal one was a little harder but still ok.

MS only had a numerical test (provided by Kenexa (PSL)) which was quite easy. (Level like Barclays).

I got invited to those three tests immediately after I submitted my application. However, I heard nothing so far of Deutsche, Goldman and Citi. Do they check the application first and then send the invitations for the online tests?

Cheers for the post, pretty interesting, I too am from the UK. I found JPM (SHL) to be the hardest out of all of the above and this view is echoed across the internet. MS for me were the easiest by far (Kenexa/PSL).

Expect numerical reasoning for sure. Almost definitely verbal and inductive reasoning too. You should prepare for all of them anyway.

Some of the IBs send out an invite as soon as you submit your application, others first review your application before then giving invites. I assume the marginal cost of these tests to the IBs is small compared to the cost of the time of HR to screen candidates.
