Need some guidance as to what I should do

Hello, I'd like to start off by giving a summarized version of my situation. I graduated from a top 10 university in South Korea majoring in International Relations with a 3.8 GPA. As a Korean citizen, I have to serve a mandatory 2 year military service in December for around 20 months. I took the 2016 June CFA and am somewhat confident in my performance. Being that I've been accepted to KATUSA, during my 20 month service I'll have ample time to study and prepare for my future.

Thus, my questions are these. What should I do to prepare for IB from now until December when I go to basic training? What should I do during the 2 years of service? Obviously, I would love to be able to work in Wall Street or the US in general but is it better if I try working in Asia first? As someone with 0 internship experience, would I have to do them first before landing a job IF (and this is a big IF) I pass my CFA level 1 and maybe even level 2?

Thanks in advance!
