Networking: when does a prospective student break the fine line between being persistent and being annoying?

Hey guys,

First time poster would like to hear others opinion on the topic and my specific situation.

Situation: I recently got referred by a warm contact at a bank to another associate at a different coverage group, despite this the person I was connected to (CC'd on email) has not responded. I sent one follow-up about a week later to no avail. Do you think sending an additional follow-up would do more harm than good. I haven't mentioned it to the person who connected us. What do you guys believe is the best course of action.
