Poor Candidate, Motivated but Lost, looking for Insight/Advice

I am a Finance Graduate from a local (non-target) university. I performed really poorly during my undergraduate career, having earned a cumulative GPA of 2.6 and an even lower major GPA with no internship experience. I am aware that I am not a good candidate by any means. I put myself in this situation through the bad choices in my past (abuse and neglect), but have new-found motivation and am willing to do whatever it takes to become successful regardless of where I'm at right now.

I wish to eventually break into PE or Corporate Banking, but am unsure about what path someone in my position should take to eventually get there. I'm currently taking an excel course and am scheduled to take the SIE in a few weeks in hopes of showing recruiters and hiring managers that I can take initiative. I have not had any luck so far in my search for a job. I'm willing to take a low salary and am considering eventually going back to school for a master's in finance.

Please if there is any advice y'all could offer to me in terms of education, networking or job choice I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you
