Prestige/Name or Quality of Life

Weighing a few options right now. Have been in a lower cost of living major city for a couple of years and lifestyle is good, homes are affordable, people are chill.

Weighing options on a move to higher cost of living city for big name brand firm with higher pay (likely no net benefit after cost and tax adjustments). Not sure what to weigh here and long term career impact.

If anybody has had a similar decision would be curious your outcome and perspective.

Thought taking a name brand would be dope till I realized that getting my shit rocked for a couple extra pennies was ass. Then again if you’re willing to suck it up for a couple years to get a stacked name/pay it could be worth down the road
