Rising Junior who hasn't applied to a single firm: what are my options?
I'm currently a sophomore at Harvard/Yale/Princeton studying one of the most useless majors possible and who hasn't applied to a single finance internship. I'm also a white guy from rural corn country so not diverse.
It's bad--I know. For the longest time, I told myself I would never do finance simply because I was still finding my path in life and didn't want to do something solely for the money. Then I watched as all my smart and motivated friends went to recruit for finance one by one while my parents struggled financially. Of course, I buried my head in the sand because I have a bad habit of ignoring my problems when they stress me out.
Ideally I'd want to do something that involves travel; possibly working for the international branch of an American company in India or Dubai or something. Regardless, I know I've fucked up and want to be realistic about my options. Any advice?
