Should I do the SIE in my senior year?

Yeah basically title. I am at an internship at a regional boutique going into my senior year of college, looking to lateral somewhere slightly bigger (probably still LMM), but was wondering if it would make sense for me to get my SIE during my senior year or even the last part of this summer. Would it help at all with recruiting/would y'all generally recommend it?

I don't think it would be that helpful in recruiting. Assuming you do lateral, wherever you end up will cover the expenses for studying/registering for the exam. I also think the SIE was pretty easy and given everyone you'd be working with already passed it (or were grandfathered in by passing the longer version of the S7 before the SIE was introduced), it likely won't make you stand out. That said, getting a return offer from your current internship will likely have a more meaningful impact on successfully lateraling.
