Should I take another internship?

Hello All,

Looking for some insight on my current situation. I've graduated last year from a non-target university majoring in economics. I had one internship during my undergrad in S&T. After I graduated I took an internship with a four-person boutique healthcare investment bank which was my first exposure to the field. After that internship I took another internship (post-graduation) with another boutique and was left with no return offer because of how small the team was and their current hiring needs.

I've recently been offered a paid internship with a well known Dutch investment bank and am wondering if I should take this offer. The reason why I'm asking is because I've already taken two internships after graduating and I think taking another internship at this point might actually make me look bad. The investment bank historically has never hired an intern to FT which is why I'm reluctant to take the offer.

I'm located in NYC and I've been networking frantically and I'm wondering if I should decline the internship and just focus on networking. Any insight would be appreciated.

Can't really offer any advice, so consider this a bump.

I'm doing an internship after graduating at the moment and I have the same worries. I had one last year (usual SA time) but didn't convert because I just hated where I was working and didn't do too well because of that.

Now I'm doing another and I'm worried because it seems like they don't really convert. Led to believe by HR that they do, but then when I started someone else at HR was talking about applying for the grad scheme afterwards so it's a bit worrying.

I agree with your thoughts. I think if you do too many it does just make you look like you're not good enough. Because they are just very long interviews in some ways. And whilst a 30 minute interview can be hit or miss, it's harder to say that a 10 week interview is hit or miss. But, no idea if doing nothing is better than not doing another internship. Benefits being you learn more how to do well at an internship, learn more, networking etc.
