Sounding informed about companies

I'm basically applying for a number of jobs at various i-banking/consulting places.

I want to write cover letters that demonstrate that I'm informed about the specific company/position that I'm applying to.

What are the best ways to learn about a company (and, more broadly, about a division such as wealth management, global capital markets, brokerage, etc., aside from their websites.

Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question.
