2 years out of school, working in operations, trying to get out
Hello Everyone, a little background on myself is below:
Graduated from a non-target state school in 2012 with two non-finance degrees and a 3.25 GPA. After college I interned in DC for a few months before deciding it wasn't for me and moving home to find a new career. Currently working as an operations lead at a mid-size investment advisory practice. The work is fine, but soul crushingly boring. I want to move in equity research or investment banking. A contact who is a recruiter at a large bank in NY suggested learning as much as possible about these field, learning to "fucking model" (as he put it), and networking as much as possible. That's in part what I'm here to do.
