Aspiring Financial Professional Making Career Change

I originally went to San Diego State for business out of high school. During my first few years of college I didn't really see a career for myself in business but loved golf, so I decided to transfer to Penn State and I received a Turfgrass Science Degree from their college of Agriculture. I graduated in 2012 and spent the past year and a half working on a golf course on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.

Shortly after transferring to Penn State I realized that I would probably want to get back into finance one day but figured I would be able to figure it out after college was over. Now is the time for me to figure it out. The problem for me now is that I have no past experience within finance and a lot of people look at my resume and see me as unqualified. I am trying to get these qualifications and would like to start with an entry level position before making a commitment to go back to school. I left my job at the end of summer 2012 and moved to New York City and have been applying for jobs. A few weeks ago I started applying to much more jobs than the previous few months but am still not getting much response from applications. I can imagine with the right direction I could probably be a little more successful, I believe that with the opportunity to get in front of a few companies and explain my story, ambitious, show that I am a hard worker and that I would be great in the industry that I would be successful.

I was recently informed about this website and it seems like a great place to go for people like me. If anyone has information they would like to share with me, potential jobs or general advice I would greatly appreciate it.
